Came across a very special place the other day. A grove of Douglas Fir that have never seen the chainsaws. This is very rare on Vancouver Island. Most places have been logged at least once and usually twice. Luckily it is in a semi protected area. So the likelihood of it being mowed down is low, but you never know. However a forest fire came through the area in 1932, the year of the Great Fire on Vancouver island but somehow these trees were only scorched and survived. . I have included some 3D photos, since they are easily seen when you cross your eyes and focus on the centre image. Sometimes greener just looks like a shambles but if you use 3D images, the forest pops out at you.
