Goldstream ridge

hiked up through goldstream campsite today. cold partly cloudy day with foggy patches around the valley bottoms. Salal was wet and cold on the pant legs .

The ridge was above the fog and it was warmer now in the filtered sunshine.
The first bird I came across on the ridge was the resident Northern Pygmy Owl sitting silently on an Oak tree tip

Another Robin was harassing it as well, and it was not too pleased to see me.however it was not disturbed by me, it was intent on something else out in front.

Lots of old growth douglas firs on the steep slope of the ridge

I was surprised to see young Stinging Nettles coming up in the alder thickets so early in the year.

Ridge top road access.

Once down on in the campground area I walked the goldstream creek trail
